Kreston ProWorks Corp., is an International Accounting, Payroll, Tax and Business Support firm with its office in Akasaka, Tokyo with a team of 40 + people operating since 2007 as a member of KRESTON GLOBAL, an international advisory and accountancy network with over 750 offices in 110 countries around the world. www.kreston.com

Our services range from market entry, company formation, visa and license support to outsourcing services including accounting, payroll, HR solutions, tax advisory and compliance, professional resources and transactional advisory including M&A and risk advisory for foreignowned and operated companies in Japan.
There are four main service departments:

We are looking for a team member to help us grow our organization by participating in the business development and lead our internal and external communication towards prospects, clients and partners as related to business and relationship development, visibility in the global market across various applicable channels in an effective way.
The main objectives of Business Development and Communication lead business
development job include the following:
1. Revenue Growth
• Primary Objective: Increase the company’s revenue by identifying new business opportunities.
• This includes finding new clients, exploring new markets, or expanding services/products to current customers.
2. Market Expansion
• Identifying New Markets: Researching and exploring new markets or regions where the company can expand within Japan and participate in regional or global deals with other Kreston Global members.
• Understanding customer needs, competition, and potential demand to tailor the company’s offerings.
3. Partnerships, Alliances & New Channels
• Creating and Building New Strategic Relationships: Developing strategic partnerships, joint ventures, or alliances that can lead to growth within and outside Kreston Global group.
• These collaborations should provide access to new markets, clients, or capabilities.
4. Client Relationship Management
• Maintain and Grow Existing Clients: Ensuring existing clients are satisfied and building long-term relationships.
• Upselling and cross-selling additional products or services.
5. Sales Strategy Development
• Planning Sales Initiatives: Designing and implementing strategies to meet sales targets and business growth objectives.
• This can involve crafting sales pitches, presentations, and outreach efforts to engage prospective clients, partner and channel firms, etc.
6. Competitive Analysis
• Understand the Market Landscape: Conducting competitive research to understand the strengths and weaknesses of competitors.
• Developing strategies to differentiate the company’s products or services.
7. Communication and Brand Awareness
• Promote the Brand: Enhancing Kreston ProWorks’ visibility and reputation in the market.
• This involves driving our communication via social media, other online channels, networking, attending industry events, and participating in marketing efforts.
• Actively participate in Kreston Global events, group activities etc
8. Innovation & New Offerings
• Develop New Products/Services: Collaborating with other departments to create new offerings based on market needs.
DIRECT BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT – PRIMARY
- Response to external prospect inquiries – via web, social media, email
and referrals, i.e. initial contact, meeting with prospective clients,
drafting and submitting proposals and presentations, follow up and deal
closing - Networking and prospecting via business networking event participation
and company representation and prospective customer and sales lead
generation Channels include various chambers of commerce in Japan,
JETRO, METI, Start up organizations and initiatives etc - Kreston Global group internal business development incl. referral
management and other Kreston Global internal communication, initiatives
and project management
OTHER:
- Overall communication and presentation strategy creation together with the management team and based on the Kreston Global formats and principles
- Media content planning, creation and management including web, various media, PR and advertising both internal and external
- Document and visuals design, creation for business development and also service group use
- Overall company presentation and image creation
- Regional participation in creating and applying a common “footprint” across Kreston partners, both in terms of the presentation and also content format
- Future potential closer client engagement and project management on various levels depending on your skills and interest
Compared to bigger firms, you will have more personal touch experience and role. You will represent our firm across all levels in the market, i.e. with our foreign clients, team members / staff and KRESTON GLOBAL partners. You will be one of us to further develop our culture internally and towards our clients and partners. Together with you, we wish to grow and manage our business methodically and work very closely with partner firms across the whole KRESTON GLOBAL group.
We’re looking for you if
- You are good with technology and basic user applications and social media use
- You are fluent in English and ideally Japanese
- You enjoy meeting and communicating with people with different professional, cultural and ethnic background
- You feel comfortable communicating with customers and partners.
- You are interested in learning particularities about our business to be able to explain our business in clear, non-technical language and successfully attract new business.
- You are organized, like to self-manage and like to get things done
- If something seems off, you want to figure out what is going on and fix it.
- You have some experience in media and content creation that resulted in good following
- You care about your time and want to be efficient to be able to enjoy live
